It has been 16 months since the beginning of #GO, Cru Singapore’s shortterm missions sending emphasis. We have had the privilege of witnessing God transform lives as we seek to be a blessing to others.
Through various approaches to ministry and outreach, we have also experienced His work in and through us. These include:
Preparing food for an outreach event
Cru Singapore’s mission is to reach, build and send Christ-centred multiplying disciples who launch spiritual movements. We believe that sending is an integral part of the discipleship process, one the Lord uses powerfully to help us become more like Christ.
Short-term missions stretch our faith muscles as we trust God for resources, share our stories of God’s goodness and step out of our comfort zones to boldly proclaim the gospel to those who have not heard. It is an important milestone in one’s Christian walk to experience what it means when Scripture says “see that the fields are white for harvest” (John 4:35b) and “The harvest is plentiful, but the labourers are few” (Luke 10:2).
We catch a glimpse of God’s heart for the world as we intentionally pluck ourselves out of familiar surroundings and plug into an entirely different environment. We become more in tune with what God is doing as we make a conscious effort to seek Him daily, pray for the harvest and devote ourselves to His work.
