Are you launching a new ministry on your campus or in your city? Or are you an established church in your neighborhood? In either case, you see the need for a Facebook page and want to create one.
Sounds great! But before you dive in head first, let’s go through a few steps to make sure you get the best use of the page and are using your time resourcefully.
What type of ministry are you? For a Cru campus ministry, we don’t exist in just one location so we don’t put a physical address in our page. We will advertise our meetings week by week so students know where to go, but daily our staff are on campus, in coffee shops and online.
Think about your location when setting up your information. If you are in one spot, add the address. If your makeup is like Cru’s campus ministry, consider leaving that off and using other advertising to share when specific events are taking place.
Facebook allows you to upload a cover video to your page. This is a great way to showcase what your ministry is all about!

WEEKLY EVENTS:
Tuesdays 8 - 9:30 p.m. Cru Meeting in Horton 4
Friday Prayer and Worship: 7 p.m. in MUB 156. Spend part of Friday night in great community intent on prayer and praise.
We're one of the Christian clubs/student organizations on campus with regular weekly events and many other special activities throughout the year along with conferences, retreats and missions opportunities.
General Information: Include your Statement of Faith here.
Mission: “Our vision is to bless every student in (your location) by launching spiritual movements of grace and truth and grow Christ-centered, fruitful leaders.”
Include phone number or email: It shouldn’t take long to find a way to contact someone from your ministry page with any questions for your ministry.
Website: Link to your ministry’s website.
Make sure you have written out any words people who are looking for a ministry like yours are going to search for so your page comes up in a search. For example, “Christian club at University of New Hampshire” or if it's a page for a Metro setting, list out each individual campus so they all come up in a search.
