Like so many in the Christian world, we were initially saddened upon hearing that God had called Dr. Billy Graham home. He was one of the most significant men of God of our time. However, that sadness was quickly overshadowed by our awareness that an extremely joyful celebration in heaven took place as he arrived.
Dr. Graham dedicated his life to following and serving God. His ability to simply and powerfully share the gospel led incredible numbers of people to put their faith in Christ. His leadership through the years inspired tens of thousands of others to share Christ in large meetings all the way down to individual interactions.
We pray that through the media coverage of his homegoing, many more people will reflect on their need for Christ and respond to Him. And for those of us who already know Christ, may the powerful example of Dr. Graham’s life and ministry inspire us to excel still more in our obedience to and faithful service of our Lord and Savior.
