Cru provides in-depth training for new staff members. It provides you with an orientation to the ministry, an understanding of our mission, vision and values and methods, and a comprehensive training in how to raise your support.
In Cru we call raising support, Ministry Partner Development (MPD). We are known for providing some of the finest MPD training in missions. The 40+ hours of MPD training covers a thorough Biblical understanding of God’s provision for those He has called to serve Him full-time and training in the skills and tools each staff member needs to successfully raise his/her support.
Soon after a person is accepted as a staff member, he/she is assigned an MPD coach who provides coaching, encouragement and accountability. The staff member is coached throughout the MPD process (from the time a staff member is accepted to the completion of raising his/her initial support).
MPD has a greater focus than only training staff members to raise money for their ministries. It is about mobilizing team a team of ministry partners to be involved in the Great Commission through their prayers and generosity. Many staff have built life-long relationships with their ministry partners.
