FamilyLife Announces New President
ORLANDO, Fla., Feb. 19, 2025– FamilyLife is pleased to announce Luke Middendorf as its new president and CEO. He succeeds David Robbins, who now serves as president of Campus Crusade for Christ International/Cru.
As a ministry of Cru, FamilyLife has a long-standing reputation for helping families pursue what matters most. For nearly five decades, FamilyLife has been helping families in 109 countries grow more fulfilling connections with God, each other and their communities.
Middendorf brings a deep commitment to that legacy. Whether building relationships in his local community or serving as a family to establish global partnerships, he has a history of equipping teams and families to follow Jesus and serve others with purpose wherever they are.
“Luke Middendorf has faithfully and effectively served Cru ministries for more than 15 years. His extensive leadership experience, and collaborative and strategic approach, combined with his heart for marriage and families, positions him well to lead FamilyLife,” said Cru’s U.S. National Director, Mark Gauthier.
As president and CEO, Middendorf will help FamilyLife fulfill its purpose of helping families grow together and impact their corner of the world.

I’m honored to lead FamilyLife and take part in what God is already doing through this ministry.”Middendorf most recently served as the National Director of Training and Development for Athletes in Action, Cru’s sports ministry that empowers athletes and coaches to be Christ-centered leaders and influencers on and off the field. In addition to leading and building local teams during his tenure, Middendorf pioneered a national training program that has since equipped more than 40 teams of Athletes in Action staff.
Middendorf joined Cru’s staff in 2009 after graduating from the University of Minnesota. In addition to serving Cru and its ministries in various roles, Middendorf was a chaplain in the University of Minnesota athletic department for nearly a decade. He and his wife, Kristina, have two children. The Middendorf family will relocate from Minneapolis to Orlando, Florida, where Cru and FamilyLife are headquartered.
