New Orleans, Jan. 9, 2025— New Orleans Saints’ defensive end, Cameron Jordan, is the winner of the 2025 Bart Starr Award for outstanding character, integrity and leadership on and off the football field.
The award will be presented as part of the Super Bowl Breakfast on Saturday, Feb. 8 in New Orleans, the same city in which Jordan plays. The 38th annual NFL-sanctioned event unites fans, local business leaders and football legends for a morning of celebration ahead of Super Bowl Sunday.
In addition to his contributions on the field, Jordan is actively involved in giving back to the New Orleans community. Founded to create positive change in children’s lives and better the community, The Cam Jordan Foundation partners with organizations like the Youth Empowerment Project and the Boys & Girls Clubs of America. It focuses on providing resources, youth development initiatives, and hosting innovative experiences to foster growth and opportunity for young people.
In addition to annual turkey giveaways and back to school supply donations, Jordan’s foundation also hosts youth sports camps for underserved children. His most recent notable act of compassion was to make a significant contribution to support those most impacted by the terrorist attack in the French Quarter.
A first-round draft pick by the Saints in 2011, Jordan is an eight-time Pro Bowler, a member of the NFL 2010s All-Decade team, and the Saints’ all-time leader in sacks (121.5). He attended the University of California at Berkeley, where he was an All-Pac 10 selection in 2010. He and his wife, Nikki, have four children. Jordan is also the fourth member of the Saints to win the award, tying the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the most Bart Starr Award winners all-time.
“Cameron Jordan exemplifies excellence of character and integrity on and off the football field,” said Corwin Anthony, Executive Director of the Super Bowl Breakfast. “These character qualities, and his heart and passion for giving back to the New Orleans community, align with the mission and legacy of the late Bart Starr.”

“Since arriving in New Orleans, Cameron Jordan has been more than just a teammate – he’s been a brother, a confidant, and a constant source of light,” said Demario Davis, Saints’ team captain and previous Bart Starr Award recipient. “His leadership extends far beyond the field – he inspires through his actions, his words, and his dedication to making others better. Whether rallying the team, serving the community, or offering a listening ear, Cameron embodies the qualities of a true leader – someone who stands firm in his values and brings out the best in everyone fortunate enough to walk alongside him.”
The Super Bowl Breakfast will be held at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center from 8 – 10 a.m. (CST) and will feature Mrs. Gayle Benson (New Orleans Saints owner) alongside Pro Football Hall of Famers Tony Dungy, Mike Singletary and other well-known NFL players, coaches and alumni.
