Becoming Usable

Dr. Bill Bright
"When I want to do good, I don't; and when I try not to do wrong, I do it anyway. Now if I am doing what I don't want to do, it is plain where the trouble is: sin still has me in its evil grasp" (Romans 7:19-20 TLB).

Your personal walk with the Lord is extremely important as you seek to reach out to others.

We all find ourselves being frustrated by the struggle against sin in our lives. But you need not be endlessly entangled by your own sin and guilt.

God has provided a provision for our shortcomings. As Paul says:

"The power of the life-giving spirit – and this power is mine through Christ Jesus – has freed me from the vicious circle of sin and death. Those who let themselves be controlled by their lower natures live only to please themselves, but those who follow after the Holy Spirit find themselves doing those things that please God" (Romans 8:2,5 TLB).

To become usable and experience the life-changing power of the Holy Spirit, there are several important steps you should take.
