God’s Work Never Locks Down

Share

None of us were ready for COVID-19. Our families, jobs, churches and connections with our communities suffered. Yet, we know that God was not surprised.

His love remains strong. People still need to hear the good news of Jesus’ love and willingness to die for their sins. But how will they hear?

Around the world, ministries changed almost overnight. In the short video below, hear briefly from Cru® staff members in seven countries about how COVID-19 didn’t cause God’s work to be locked down.

Cru® staff members from eight places share that God is still at work.

Thank you for reading Cru Storylines™ and taking steps of faith you find here while interacting with ministry stories that show how God moves in and through people.

Right now, would you take a few minutes to pray for some of the Cru staff members you saw in that video? Ask God to show them how to continue reaching out to a world that needs to encounter Jesus, especially amid this pandemic. If you have more time, read one or more of these Classic Articles on Prayer and continue praying for these missionaries.

Also, if these stories motivate you to consider partnering with a ministry financially, you can learn about Cru’s Global Staff Assistance Fund, which helps staff members in places most affected financially by the pandemic. Many missionaries are seeing the number of gifts they receive plummet as their local partners lose jobs due to lockdowns and economic turmoil.

Thank you for being part of all that God is doing in your community and around the world.
