This will be an “Epic-hosted” summer mission (not a summer mission exclusive to Epic students or Asian Americans). We invite anyone from any Cru or Epic movements to join us this summer. As an Epic-hosted event, we will focus on some of Epic’s values including growing in our understanding of our cultural and ethnic identities. We believe that everyone has a culture and a cultural lens in which they view the world. We believe that the more we can understand ourselves, the better we can relate to God and to others.
This mission trip is held along the shores of Wildwood, New Jersey. You will gather with other students from all over the U.S. to live and work together for a summer. You will get a summer job and learn to live out your faith in the context of work. You will reach out to the thousands of international students that visit and work in Wildwood each summer.
You will get to experience what it’s like to live with intentionality on mission for God and with the support of a community. You will be trained as a leader and learn to put it into practice. You may experience conflicts and challenges, but it is through these conflicts that we truly learn and grow.
